How Capture & Co. Began: A Friendship, a Text Message, and a Whole Lot of Heart

Capture & Co. didn’t begin with a business plan, a fancy logo, or a perfectly timed launch. It began on a random day in January… with a text message.

Tiffany and I originally connected on Facebook, but our story goes back even further. Our boys went to kindergarten together, and from there, we became instant friends—the kind that just clicks. We’re both Marine Corps spouses, both women who like to hustle, and both deeply familiar with the everyday grind that comes with military life, motherhood, and trying to hold it all together while still chasing something more.

Life looks a little different for each of us, but the heart behind it is the same.

Tiffany is raising three kiddos on a farm, surrounded by animals and constant motion. I (Summer-Rain) live in Hampstead with my four kids, a dog, and three cats—our own kind of chaos. Our husbands are both currently serving in the United States Marine Corps, and like so many military families, we juggle deployments, schedules that change overnight, and the quiet strength it takes to keep moving forward.

Somewhere in the middle of the busy—between school drop-offs, practices, animals, dinner, and bedtime—we realized something important: We were both clinging tightly to our memories.

Photos. Moments. The little in-between things that pass too quickly.

We’re the kind of women who try to document everything because we know how fast time moves—especially in military life. One day you’re in one place, and the next, you’re packing up and starting over. Those memories become anchors. Proof that the moments mattered.

That’s when the idea for Capture & Co. started to take shape.

We felt drawn to creating experiences for other people—not just photos, but moments worth remembering. The kind that make you pause. The kind that bring people together. The kind that live on long after the day is over.

What started as a simple text message turned into a shared vision:To help others hold onto their memories the same way we hold onto ours.
